I know round here at WPI there has been some serious talk of three regionals for us next year, one being Hartford, two someplace out west (like SoCal or Silicon Valley) and a WPI regional.

: Bob Hammond mentioned to me that one of the rules for starting a new Regional is that it must be partially sponsored by a university, or that a university needed to be very close by.

: It makes sense that the focus of FIRST expansion is to tie into universities.
