Beacon? why?

Student on team #27, Team Rush, from Osmtech and Textron.
Ok i have a question. . . they mentioned that we get new easy to use beacons . . . but aren't we all on the same team?!?!?! Will the beacon be coordinated to your color ball . . maybe? Just had to ask it was bothering me
