On the commute to work yesterday: Be by Common. If it's not the best hip-hop album of this decade, it's in the top five.
On the commute from work yesterday: The Cool by Lupe Fiasco. A rare album (for any genre) where there isn't a single lousy track on the album. His first album, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor, was a great album even if it wasn't the lightest one in history, and The Cool tends to be heavier (and better) still. This would be another contender for the top-five list.
