Nick,
It is my understanding that you are not able to use adhesive. Even if it does not leave a residue. I do not remember the exact location, or wording of the rules, but I seem to remember something in the rules about not damaging the playing field. Adhesives, I believe, were included in destruction of the playing field. I know that last year, adhesives were not allowed.
