Re: Young students design robots

This is such a worthwhile project/idea/outreach.

I'm stunned by the amount of work and thought that has gone into this coloring book program and the possibilities that it provides.

Here in Austin, I have worked with a group of young children who have had troubled pasts that impact their present and possibly, their future. They are familiar with robotics due to the annual workshop that FRC 418, LASA Robotics, has developed for them.

I'm thinking I may contact the home and ask if I can come for a visit, bringing a little bit of 'homework' with me. It would be pretty cool to see what the children would do with the assignment.

Thank you for this thread, Carol - it was a goosebumper for me. I know how excited children can become when they see purple - I can not even begin to imagine what they are like when they see MOE green walking in their direction.
