: We first built a system which used two 60 pound gas springs from SPI attached to casters. It worked great. The springs would collapse but the combined 120 pound force would return the bot to level. Unfortunately, we ran overweight, so we chopped off the gas springs and casters and just let the bot frame hit the floor. It hit HARD. We just tied everything down very well and ran with it. Biggest problem was keeping the electrics together.
Tnx for the info,
This will probally work for us because weight for us wont be a problem this year (we hope anyway We were 31 lbs under weight last year and we did very well.... won the featherweight in the finals in both regionals and nationals.)
