Pete Conrad Spirit Of Innovation Award

The Pete Conrad Foundation has just unveiled the Pete Conrad Spirit Of Innovation Award for 2008. Teams of high school students across the nation are invited to compete in this innovative program. The competition engages high school students in creating commercial products using science and technology.

In partnership with the X-Prize Foundation, the award will be used to recognize unique and creative solutions to challenging problems in the area of space exploration. The 2008 challenge is looking for entries in the area of personal space flight (assume you can go to space - create an innovative concept and business plan for use in personal space flight) and lunar exploration (assume you can go to the moon - create an entrepreneurial venture for lunar exploration). It is perfectly suited for the innovative and creative talents of most FRC teams, and I think it would be great to see a FRC team listed among the award winners. You can find out more on the award web page.
