May I make the suggestion that you also might want to contact any regional robotics committees and see if they can provide any assistance. In addition to this, contact the technical societies in your community, and call a couple of the teams around you to see if they have suggestions. Last, but not least, you should contact your Regional Director and see if he has any suggestions.
Also possibly of benefit would be to view some of the rookie team materials, especially those dealing with the recruitment of mentors. Even though you are not a "rookie team" persay, it could be very beneficial. This is especially true as your team has been not competing for the past two years.
