Here are a few other tips.

1. Talk to mentors (or experienced students) who are responsible for your team's workshop safety .

2. Try to come up with a practical idea. Explosions and ninjas might be fun to animate but they don't seem to win the safety animation award.

3. Don't worry about minor details. In 2005 & 2006 we were in a panic to make the deadline so we left out any background scenery - and we won!

4. Think about the slogan. One year it was "Care enough to act". We determined that means you should do something to change unsafe conditions or behavior.
