The photo I took of the goal shows a "smooth" fitting. I can send a gif or jpg if you like.

Schedule 40 fittings don't have a neck, but drain PVC fittings do. Drain fittings also have a thin wall relative to schedule 40.

You will want schedule 40 fittings and pipe.
