Everyone keeps talking about the possibilities of a water game. It seems to be the trend of ChiefDelphi recently, just as it was around the same time last year. The thing that everyone doesn't understand is that it can't be a water game. When working with the materials we do for this competition, it would be one giant fire hazard.
And I understand when people say that 'yes, it is a hazard, but one of the requirements could be to make protection over all wiring and such' This is a good idea in theory but I'm sure
FIRST also realizes that it is students building these robots. Not that we are completely incapable, but we all do make mistakes, especially when we are learning. Protection can be faulty and the pose a huge problem of fire hazards.
Don't get me wrong, I would love a water or ice game, it's just not realistic.
