now i love american cars, especially the muscle that came out in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. These cars, at the hieght of their popularity throughout the 70's, came with around 400 hp stock. now with a few options on the engine you could be getting a 500+ hp car from the showroom floor. These cars were actually not that expensive when inflation is figured out. These kind of cars are not made anymore sadly enough, but true carguys will always restore them.

right now im in the middle of getting my lisence, and i practice driving in a 92 olds cutlass supreme. but my dad, who grew up in the 60's and 70's always loved classics and muscle cars. hes owned alot of muscle cars (when i say alot i mean 19). he would restore them and sell them to guys who didn't know how to restore cars. the money he made would go to the next car restoration.

the last classic he owned was a yellow 1932 ford coupe (like in american graffiti) way back in 1990. he sold it and if i wasn't 5 at the time i would have stopped him.

So now to the question of what will i be driving?

i will be driving a 1955 chevy bel air. It is a former drag car from california. the attachment is what it looks like now. as you can see no rust, no major body damage at all.

this is what i hope it ends up looking like:

planning on dropping (if we can afford it) a 454 big block in it. if not we got a 350 small block waitin. id like to keep the paint how it is and the interior. everyone would think the car would suck just because the paint does. but it would really be just one kick butt drag car. so i could pull up next to a toyota or honda or any other import and just leave it at the light. (i dont like imports at all, chevy all the way)
Sorry for the consecutive psost... But Bias-ply slicks!!!! COOL!!!!!
