[FTC]: Extra materials for FTC Build

The rules for FTC this year are unique in that they have included a 12"x24" sheet of polycarb and 12"x24" sheet of aluminum as legal materials to use as whatever the teams see fit (see rule R5b). In fact, there's a new award created that is focused on how teams will use these pieces either aesthetically or functionally - the Design Award. I think it would be kind of cool to see grippers or gears manufactured by the teams.

Well, if you been watching Ken's Blog (http://www.firsttechchallenge.blogspot.com/), his latest entry is a video on how to make something with the polycarb. Now, it's kind of corny and Bob Villa-ish, but I found it helpful.

Like Bill's Blog for new the FRC Control system, I think Ken will be posting more and more as the season goes on. Check it out.
