Yes, you may make your own wheel, with things out of the kit, additional hardware, and SPI. For example, you can take the bearings out of the kit and aluminum plates and bars to make your own set of wheels that's almost totally hollow with a strong external structure, then you are going to have a really nice, fast, strong and light drive train on your robot. Or you can make the wheels completely solid ones to add weight to your robot as you see fit.

Of course you will have to consider about the time you are willing to put into this as well as resources. I know a lot of teams just use those wheel chair wheels, but any teams out there have any advice of making your own wheel?
