Goals Breaking?

Student on team #68, Truck Town Terror, from Waterford Kettering/OSMTech Academy and General Motors Truck Group.

I was wondering if there are other teams out there that have built goals already and are having trouble with them breaking? We have built two of them and tipped them in a controled manner and both of them broke. One fell off the bridge and broke and the other was on the playing field and we tipped it. Both goals fell on the flat portion of the upper octagon. However the breaking occured at the corners. Another question I have is whats if it breaks like this during a match and you are able to right it but balls won't stay in it? Dean said to design a robot that would with stand a goal falling on it because it would be quite common. In my opinion this would come under FIRST equipment failing! Anyone else have a different view or a rule that clarifiles this? Thanks
