Until I saw this year's game I would have given your
proposal no chance of being implemented but, now I am
not so sure.

Seriously though, I don't like it. What if a team was
near the bottom, but not near enough, would they be
justified in trying to get an even lower score so that
they could get in the elimination rounds?

This isn't Kansas any more toto!
