Even with the Capitals taking a Palmetto break (try Chesapeake, you'll like it!), I still found a way to make it to...that other school.

However, it is official (whenever our teacher punches it into TIMS): 1618 is making the three-hour drive up to that other school for the 2009 Palmetto Regional; we look forward to trying to overtake our last outing at Palmetto. It'll be great to see 1676 again, as well as our old partners in 801 and, I'm assuming, 1102. The addition of 1772 should also make for a good time; it'll be the first international team in the six-year history of the event, and the first team from beyond the Continental U.S. since now-defunct Puerto Ricans 780 made the trip (and the semifinals, with 433 and 393) in the inaugural event of 2004.

In short, I can't wait.

(PS: How 'bout them Gamecocks?)
