to further reinforce what was just said, our alliance's strategy was to use vex to get a point lead on our opponents and just completely shut down the opponent's offense with large robots. if you were to look back on our alliance, our robot scored a total of ZERO that day, with royal oak scoring few goals (compared to seating matches). worked incredibly well as the record shows.
it also looked like we could have gotten it a few more times, but we often got hooked on royal oak's vex while turning.
