Oh no! A teamless mentor!
Hey all--how's FIRST treating ya? I graduated high school a few years ago and haven't been able to help out my old team much. They're one of those huge teams with more people than they know what to do with. With kick-off just over the horizon, my geeky heart has been yearning for a roboticsy home.
So does anyone near north Jersey need some help? You guys know as well as I do how addicting FIRST can be, and I'm dying to get back in.
I'm a video game design major at the County College of Morris, and my specialty lies in 3d modeling and artsy things. MORT (team 11) won the Trenton Regional Autodesk 3d award during my junior year of robotics. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a pro, but I can certainly be a mentor for the teams out there who don't have established 3d groups. In addition to being fairly well-versed with 3dsmax, I also have a very cool animation professor who is willing to work with students, so if we ever run into a problem we can't solve, I know someone who can.
Even if you aren't a team that dabbles in animation, I'm willing to help in any way that you can put me to work. I'm begging you! Give me a new home!
