There are a variety of cheap and easy ways to mount the drill motors to the robot. First of all, a pretty easy way is to put it on a plywood platform where you cut out parts of the plywood (well, really sand down) so it matches up to the shape of the housing. In that case you probably want some sort of plywood bolted above the drill with the same cut out parts to match the top of the drill. Other things you can do can be to cut off the handles of the drills to give a flat mounting point. You can also bend sheet metal around the drill to keep it in place. If you do any of the "floating drill" ideas make sure you have a misalignment coupler inline with the drive shaft or you'll be getting in a world of hurt.
