I've been running over Dave's signatures looking for more ways to relate it to the "ship, captain and crew" game. This caught my eye:

fix" I discovered it is actually a term that refers to an area of a ship where cargo is stowed.
So, translated, Dave's statement could mean something like: "When you get a 6, you get your ship".
