I took the original hint and flipped it twice on word. I then changed the brightness and contrast of the picture to make out the writing. It turned out I was able to make out three words. Deeply, forked, and body. I searched this on google and it took me here

The picture seen in the background of the picture is a Blue Catfish and this link takes you directly to a pdf version of the book which was used to scan the hint out of. This might not mean anything but now we know directly where the picture came from.
