The MAC address ( Media Access Control) is the actual physical address hard coded into the networking hardware. Every device that uses TCP/IP has a unique MAC address. According to the manual, there is a label on the bottom of the cRIO that has the MAC for your system. The one in the manual is for reference only and is not what you should be seeing.
Can you give us the exact wording of the error it is displaying?
