Time is running out...

Student on team #188, Blizzard, from Woburn Collegiate Institute and Ontario Power Generation.

During a series of computer simulations our team found that most of the “realistic” high scores took place within 60 seconds (giving the match the 2.5 multiplier). We had a lot of discussions concerning how possible it really was to finish the match within the first 60s. Considering the fact that we have absolutely no idea how fast robots other than us can do things we would like to get some idea of when other teams anticipate the matches being STOPPED.

Here are some of the matches that we generated that we felt were somewhat “realistic” within 60s, what do you think???

ALL BELOW MATCHES ARE WITH 60s REMAINING and 1.1 multiplier
Terms gb = goals balanced, bb = big balls, sb = small ball, st = stretcher in end zone, rb = robots in end zone

220: 2 gb 1 bb 10 sb
330: 1 rb 2 gb 1 bb 10 sb
330: 2 gb 2 bb 10 sb
330: 2 gb st 1 bb 10 sb
440: 1 rb 2 gb 2 bb 10 sb
440: 2 rb 2 gb 1 bb 10 sb
440: 2 gb st 2 bb 10 sb
440: 1 rb 2 gb st 1 bb 10 sb
550: 2 rb 2 gb 2 bb 10 sb
550: 3 rb 2 gb 1 bb 10 sb
550: 1 rb 2 gb st 2 bb 10 sb
550: 2 rb 2 gb st 1 bb 10 sb
660: 3 rb 2 gb 2 bb 10 sb
660: 3 rb 2 gb st 1 bb 10 sb
660: 2 rb 2 gb st 2 bb 10 sb
770: 3 rb 2 gb st 2 bb 10 sb

Please contact us if you would like to have the program that we used to generate these results.

We think many of these matches are possible, and even anticipate higher scores. To restate 60s seems like a good time to end the match.
