A platform will present challenges in climbing that your typical chassis cannot surmount. The GDC tends to be
evil mischievous creative in finding ways to force teams to go outside their comfort zones. Think of all the teams with mature drivetrains that might have to develop something completely different to climb, for example, a 12 inch tall platform (no ramps)...
