Re: Truoble installing Autodesk Inventor (CAD)

If you downloaded the zip files from the site not using autodesks tool, make sure you extract all 4 files and combine them into one bulk folder or files will be missing like crazy.

Personally, I went the lazy route and used the autodesk download tool and that worked much better.

Like Jeff said, unless you know you have Vista 64bit or XP X64, the 64 bit version will not run, it is as simple as that.

I will add that I have installed inventor 4 times, 3 times on one machine (2 reformats), and once on another.

The first time I installed it on the machine that has had it installed 3 different times, it crashed at the very end and I had to restart the installer. The other 2 times on this machine, and 1 time on the other machine it worked flawlessly, just keep in mind that Inventor (and its installer) are absolute beasts in required computing power so don't run anything else when you try to install them.

And try re downloading inventor (maybe use the autodesk tool)
