I was in VA last year and we had almost 70 teams. I thought the pit was a bit tight (but what pit isn't??), but I thought 70 teams was a good number for that site. Right now it's 'full' at 54 teams.
Wait and see........things may change!

Last year VA was really great. There was at least one Delphi team there, the Robocards were there, quite a few NASA teams, and many, many rookies. That's just to name a few. It was very competitive and very fun. The pit area might be increased depending on the field this year and the set up in the auditorium. 70 teams was a good number there, though according to the crew we were way behind schedule and we had about the same amount of matches as at nationals.
