Also worthy of note is the coefficients of friction listed in the manual

this means that it takes something like 10 seconds to cross the field at the very best. (Force of friction=force exerted on robot sideways, max acceleration = g*mu, mu inline static=.06, thus g*mu=.588 m/s^2)
