Maybe I missed this information somewhere. But are you sure they are not doing this? I know that this year there are going to be 5 playing fields, and so maybe three of them indoor while two are out door?

But actually, even with two fields, both of them are not going to fit on the main stage base on the size of last year’s. So that mean the two fields out door will have to be somewhat apart. And since they want everyone watching the finals instead of people split up into two, they are going to have the finals on one field.

Unless this year they build the main stage much bigger to fit in two field, and also expand the number of seats to fit in the 40% new teams going. I wonder if the field this year will fit everyone in with the large growth.

By the way, doesn't two fields next to each other sounds tempting for robots who can go over/under the bar cross the field to the other one and "de-score" or become "defensive"?
