Okay Stephen, here goes. I think you're talking about the robot controller, because the OI is the thing you plug controllers into. The RC on my team's bot is mounted on a metal case we made for the battery that is mounted longitudilaly (laying down on its back). If you look, the RC is about the same size as the battery. So we've mounted almost all our electronics on the box. the RC is on top, the radio on the side, and the circut breaker is on the other side. The fuse panel, speed controllers, and switches are mounted on what would be the battery bottom. The inside of the box is lined with carpet. We found this an efficient way to consolidate our electronics.
