We were not fortunate enough to become a Beta test team, but were lucky to have our programming mentor be selected to go to the weekend in Texas to learn and share the control system to the state. We have two students on the programming sub-team, and another mentor helping out where he can. I feel you always need more than one person understanding what's going on with the program. That allows for different points of view, and if the robot should ever revolt and take out it's programmer, hopefully the other one can step in and take over.
