As a former mentor of 418, I know that it can be a fine line to walk and it makes it a little challenging for marketing. The way the team obtained the name is a good story but that's about all that it is, a good story.

It is also a little hard to work into a theme/logo. HAZE developed a logo, I believe, designed by Jaine Perotti. LASA Robotics uses their name now for marketing and branding, but the nickname stays with them. I remember one parent thinking that she would wear a wide-brimmed black hat covered (read - billowing) in purple netting while sitting in the stands at the competitions. Don't believe I ever saw it become a reality.
