i agree with joe, you should solder and make sure u are using solder with that flux stuff on it so that it sticks. try sanding the tips of the motor's terminals with sandpaper as well before soldering.

if that doesnt work still, the female spade connectors (stake ons? is another term for it i think) and they plug in well. i'd be a little careful though just in case they fall for any reason at all.
