What we do is apply solder to the motor terminals and then tin the wire. While the iron is still on the wire bring the motor to the wire and attach them. Make sure the solder all melts together you can even add more solder if necessary. You may want to give the person holding the wire a leather glove because the wire will get hot. After the solder has cooled we take hot glue and go around the solder joint basically gluing the wire to the motor. This has eliminated the broken off terminal syndrome.
