Re: How much do you spend per t-shirt?
I work for a t-shirt company (when I'm not working for a robotics team). A two week turnaround is normal. Sometimes it can go faster if you don't have to have the shirts shipped in. It does cost more to print on a dark color as opposed to a light. Grey (on black) can be achieved by using less white so you may only be charged for one color. There is a screen fee cost per color used. Usually that runs 25.00 per screen so you must add that set up fee to the cost of the shirts. There may also be an additonal artwork charge depending on the company you are working with. The cost will also go down when the quanity of shirts goes up. Generally we have a minimum of 24 whenever we screen print.
For a basic black t-shirt with one color on two sides of the shirt with a minimum of 24 would run you about 12.50at my company without any discounts. I think you are getting a good deal.
