: : the light must be visible from four spots, 90
: : degrees apart, do they mean from all four sides of
: : the robot, or, like in team 249,can it be mounted
: : vertically and not horizontally?

: hi, i'm another member of team 254, and my interpretation of that is as long as u can see the light from multiple angles (mostly for the ppl in the stands) and ours is even when the light is point away from u, can see wut color it is, so...

I asked that question a few weeks ago and the answer was in one of the updates, I think it was #4. FIRST's response was basically the same as Eric's. That is, as long as they can see it they don't care. You can even use reflective surfaces to get the color where you need it if you want. Identification seems to be the important point. So they don't disable the wrong robot .
