The camera is supposed to be connected (using the orange crossover cable) to the second ethernet port of the cRIO. When it is plugged in that way, your programming computer will not be able to communicate with it. The robot project templates to use as a starting point for your code will transmit the image to a dashboard program on your computer so you can see what the camera sees.

You should only connect the camera through the router if you are planning to use the Vision Assistant program (you will have to change your computer's IP address to the 192.168.0.anything-but-90 address).
