Re: Another build day lost

Bah, every year I hear complaints about snow days coming from south of the border. We haven't had a snow day here in Southern Ontario for more than 4 years, and we've had snowfalls as much as 20-30cm(8-12") overnight semi-frequently. Even if we did, our lead mentor has keys to the school and we'd go in anyway. I can't help but laugh at areas getting <1" of snow and calling a snow day. More than 1" of snow fell during my drive to work today, and I got here just fine. I might be able to understand if say southern california were to get 5" out of the blue, but 1 or 2" is no big deal on the all-season tires that come as standard issue on most cars. Cripes, we still get snow on Week5 of competitions for GTR sometimes.

EDIT: Power Outages are a bit different. As I recall, that was the reasoning for the extension in 2003, because some areas were without power for a significant length of time during build.
