Hey Colonel!
Just wanted to say hi. Sounds like a great idea, and since I'm in the area during summers, I'd like to help.

: We at WPI have been itching to conduct an in-residence summer short course (beginning in 2002) on FIRST technology. It would likely be a two-week course designed for high school students new to a FIRST team. I know there are a lot of other unofficial training programs out there and would be interested in hearing from anyone who has any information on them. Ours would attempt to cover the basics of power transmission, pneumatics, programming, and CAD and would include a significant hands-on power tool experience. The curriculum would include building and operating a robot built from previous FIRST kit parts. I'd appreciate any comments.
