Re: 5th gear Simulator help
KD,
First piece of advice - Always search before posting - There is already a thread for 2009 5th Gear discussions. I pay attention to that thread, I could easily overlook new threads...

So I was trying out the new sim and started a instance of it in server mode and then ran another instance in client mode. When I went to connect the client it gave me an error

Second - Congratulations - Several people have made the mistake of thinking that they only need to run one instance (the server) of the software. You got past that hump.

Unhandled exception: Could not find part of the path
'C:\Windows\system32\Bots\OverDrive'
so then I tried it in lunacy mode and got this:
Unhandled exception: Could not find part of the path
'C:\Windows\system32\Bots\Lunacy'

The other post in this thread is on the right track - Either something prevented files from being installed, or they got installed someplace where 5th Gear (5G) can't find them.
I'm going to send a separate email to my colleague who wrote/configured the installer - He should be able to take care of you.
Question - Did you perform an installation? or did you try to copy all the necessary files from some other computer where 5G had been successfully installed? If you tried to copy files, then I suspect you missed some...
