I must agree with all points you made. We too learned a LOT!
We figured out how to get our autonomous working. We now have a much better grasp on "Running" the code vs. "Deploying Start up" code. We also found our strengths and weaknesses with our robot. We can now use ALL of Monday productively.
As far as your lesson on acrylic, it's a good lesson to learn in practice and not during competition.
Acrylic has it's place, but it is not in a placed where an impact or stress can be applied to it.
