Re: 2009 New Jersey Regional
MORT is ready as we'll ever be. Just hope its good enough to finally take the NJ title home. Winning our home regional for the first time would be a huge moment of success. Our robot, I'll admit, is mediocre and will be bested by many bots in ball capacity. Our strategies and drivers on the other hand should fair well amongst the other teams.
Just 10 days and bam, Lunacy will begin. I have seen the game played a few times and it is surprisingly exciting. I am excited now to see the outcome.
Few specific teams I want to get to know better: 303, 103, 102, 25, 75, 41, 816, 1403, 2753, 1279, and 1089. To the first 6 listed, MORT has lost our ways in communicating with our fellow veteran teams in the past and have built up a detrimental reputation and team aura, we are determined to change that. The change began for our team over the course of this summer and build season but we want to see the change come to full fruition at Trenton in those precious 3 days and continue for the rest of our team's existence. Younger teams may not understand what I'm talking about but I'm certain the mentors and members of those 6 teams do. MORT will be willing and ready to work with teams at Trenton with a positive and cooperative attitude and I hope that we all can share a mutual respect for one another this year. I say unto you all, best of luck and I, and MORT, will see you there with a heart to win this regional for the first time ever. Good night and may you have a pleasant ship day.
