The 2006 was arguably one of the coolest ball sorting mechanisms in FIRST. It was not one of the best for competition. As anyone on 703 could tell you, having a giant spinning bin that would begin spinning 1.5 seconds before the first ball fired was a giant "Hey everybody I am going to score soon!" sign. Observant teams would wait until the spin started before ramming us. The gouges left in the 2006 chassis left us wanting a bit more of a sneak attack approach.
As far as function goes:
Independent crab drive with sheet metal construction (if you have a drill and some hinged 2x4s you could make this chassis)
Able to load from floor and human player
Turreted shooter
Vision system
Multi-chamber hopper (around 15 total balls)
Wanted to make an FRP "gilly suit" for this assasin, but we ran out of weight.
Debut will be Kettering the off to the West Side for our second district.
