This motor is very like the motor we used this year,
but not the same.
Sorry. That motor went out of service and I had to
find another that was still in production. The only
real difference is that the new motors have the proper
face width for use with the tape drive units, unlike
the motor I was able to get for the 200 competition.
Sorry for the confusion. But... beggars can't be
choosers. As it was, Valeo almost missed the drop dead
date that FIRST had for getting them in the kit. While
13,000 motors seems like a lot for you and me, it is
peanuts to Valeo, and no matter how often I called
them, they didn't really respond.
Ah well. Such it the life of FIRST beggars. It seems
that if a supplier had to choose between shutting down
a billion dollar car plant and making a few FIRSTers
unhappy, they choose to risk the rath of the FIRSTers.
Bottom line:
I personally wrote the P.O. for the window motors that
are in this year's kit. They are definitely from a
current production GM Savannah Van.
