Inspection Help

Well, the first week of competitons are in the book, and I hope that it was a learning experience for all.

It was also a learning experience for those of us that were robot inspectors. The most talked about issue prior was bumpers. However, in OKC, there were minimal problems with them. Teams did a great job with the bumpers.

But there were two areas that we need help with in the upcoming regionals.

Please, Please, Please:

1. Have your bumpers off the robot before you go to inspection

2. Take the trailer hitch off the robot before you go to inspection

(bring both with you, for length and weight measuring on the bumpers and visual inspection of the hitch)

3. Have your driver's station updated. It should read 2009 2. If not you will not be able to interact on the field.

4. Have your Lab View up to date with all the updates.

Teams will be given an encription code and instructions on how to program it into the wireless adaptor. Please make sure that this is done as well.

These were the largest issues that we saw, and it was on the majority of the teams. We had to send back countless teams to correct these items before they could go through the inpection list.

These are all simple things, but the add up to a lot of time that could be wasted if not done. This will make your inpection process flow very easily.
