Cass Tech was amazing. The ice cream was good
, the school was well prepared and was well suited to host this competition. The volunteers did a great job and exponentially got better as the competition went on.
There was a lot of good competition and a great gracious professionalism from everybody. It was disappointing that we tied that match but what can you do, we were still undefeated
. There were some good cream of the crop teams to choose from for a first pick (217, 469, 326, 1701) but the robot chickens were as always a top of the line team and it would have been silly to let this opportunity for us to play together slip by. 3098 did great as our 3rd bot and surpassed our expectations as a rookie.
Other things I want to point out ^.^ ... Team 469 the Las Gorillas had a great drive train and were a thing to be reckoned with on the regolith with fans powerful enough to inflate the Georgia Dome or put out a forest fire (I heard those analogies somewhere and liked them) Team 326 was a team to be reckoned with, they had good strategy and once they got their mechanical bugs fixed they could dump balls like crazy.
