There is only one source I am aware of that sells metal 0.7 Module gears off the shelf (PIC-Design.com).

Sadly, they are not on the "approved" source list for FIRST stuff.

So... the only way I know of to get a mate for the pinion on the Drill Motor is to have one made from raw material that IS legal FIRST stuff (e.g. 1/4 steel plate -- unlimited and no grade of steel specified, hurray!)

If you contact wire EDM sources, you may be able to find a local source that will burn you a gear for not much more than what Small Parts Inc. sells their gears for.

Believe it or not, all but the largest of our gears were burned for less than $50 each, very competitive with what Small Parts Inc. charges.
