Re: Congratulations teams 111, 67, 971

Wow... what a year, and it's hard to believe how quickly it came to an end.

None of the rounds on Einstein went to 3 matches, but there sure were a bunch of close matches...

When all is said and done, congratulations to 111, 67, and 971. I know you've all put a lot of work into your robots this year and they sure were a beauty to behold. You guys really lit up Einstein!

111, congratulations on becoming one of the 4 teams now that have at least 2 FRC World Championships under their belt. From week 1, I was very impressed by your performance. Your robot design is beautifully executed. Congratulations on 1st seed, and of course, the championship.

67, I don't think anyone could have pulled off a better season than you did. 1114 set the bar high last year with 3 Regional wins + Championships. You did even better with 3 District wins + Michigan State Championships + World Championships. Your robot design is so beautiful, and it was so wonderfully driven. Finals match 2 on Einstein really showed how good you were at driving, ending the match with a whole 0 balls in your trailer. Also, congratulations on your second World Championship!

971, Your performance was excellent, and I have no clue how you managed to not get picked until the very last pick of the draft, but regardless, your play was crucial to the alliance. Your contribution to the alliance was huge, great job on a well deserved victory!

Also, I would like to congratulate 217, 68, and 247. You are all wonderful teams from the (no bias at all) wonderful state of Michigan.

217, it was fun to practice with you guys for hours, as well as compete with/against 3 times this year. Your robots have always inspired me, and I was again impressed with your performance this last weekend. Great job, and you can always still win IRI!

68, I enjoyed talking to you guys a bit on Friday just before the pits closed. Your robot design is so simple, yet you are definitely one of the best scorers in FIRST! Excellent job, and keep up the wonderful work!

247, Finalist on MSC, and then finalist at the World Championships, wow. You guys had a wonderful robot this year, an elegant balance between scoring and defense. I think I can safely say that you played the smartest defense that I have seen all year, from any teams, and you even did it without fans.

To the whole alliance, good job representing Michigan! I really hope this can help to show the advantages of the District model, and that it can spread through all of FIRST in the near future!

Congratulations to all teams that competed. I was impressed by so many of your robots and how well you played. I hope to see many of you at IRI or otherwise. Good luck!
