My main objection to Robotica is the fact that I find the host annoying (if not insulting) in the extreme.

The task oriented nature of the competition is interesting but I think it will get old pretty quick unless they come up with new tasks. I do like the fact that they have added more engineering challenges with water hazards, projectile weapons and fire. I think battlebots whimped out on these. As a former battlebots viewer it becomes obvious almost immediately that saws and spikes really don't do much.
