I was unaware of the Texan-Cowboy's yearly game. I'm glad they got rid of that. The current NFL scheduling system is fairly interesting with first, second, third, and fourth place schedules for each division.

Another example of the NFL following FIRST is how the first pick is not always most desirable. In smaller or shallower events, the 1st seed could be victimized by the serpintine and stuck with a very weak third partner. In the NFL, the rookie pay system forces teams to pay players that have never played a NFL down some of the biggest salaries. There was talk of the Lions skipping thier pick so they would not have to pay the big bucks for an unproven talent.
